Well, there are several changes to your life that you can work on to increase your chances of meeting a new man. Whether you are willing to do so or not will determine your chances of success.

First of all, you have to be proactive. Even if you are an introvert by nature, remind yourself to get out of the house more often! Don't sit at home all day reading a book or playing with your dog. No man will ever discover you this way. Of course, unless you prefer to meet someone via online dating. Otherwise, you have to get out and give them an opportunity to even meet you!

Well, just out of the house, you can probably start to widen your social network with your immediate neighbours. At work, there are also plenty of ways to meet new men. Heard of lift or water cooler couples? Those are the couples who keep running into each other, either in the lift or at the pantry. And after some time, they may start talking and things may develop from there. I am not saying you should go for breaks really often at the expense of your job, but there is always a possibility of meeting someone new in such a setting.

But depending on the job, if your office is made up of mostly women and just a few married men, it may be a real obstacle to your attempts of widening your contacts. Probably you can consider a major move and that is to switch your workplace or job scope. For those who may already dread going to work everyday at your current job, this switch could be a good thing in fact! You may like to get yourself a job where you have more chances of meeting new people, for e.g, in sales or customer service, etc. Beats facing the same people in the office daily right?

One of the best ways to widen your social network is through your friends or family members. Convince yourself to accept every invitation to go out. Don't miss the parties that they host themselves especially, where everybody is invited (including their friends whom you may not have met before). It is a great opportunity to meet new and eligible men, who may be in the same age group as you too.

The rule of thumb for those on the lookout for another relationship: Never say no to opportunities where you can meet someone new. Just keep to it and you will find a date very soon!
